Package 1

Isle of Lewis price includes accommodation and breakfast only. Single occupancy £400.00 per gun per day minimum 3 days 4 nights in lodge old fashioned but comfortable with own personal cook. Over pointers if required driven or walked up. Expect – 10-12 birds pinned with 40-60 lifted per day

Package 2

Isle of Mull price includes accommodation and breakfast plus dinner single occupancy £250.00 per gun minimum 3 days and 4 nights. Springer’s only here. \Pointers can be arranged at £30.00 a day per dog. Expect -10-12 birds pinned with 40-60 lifted

Package 3

Northern Ireland at two specific large country house estates 2 days minimum for a team of guns 6 minimum £2350.00 all-inclusive. Expect – 15-19 per day lift 70 plus per day.

Package 4

Isle of Skye, Scotland, from 15th November to 31st January best period, occasionally plentiful and sometimes not many we cater for walked up and would consider pointers brought in if need be. As the area is beautiful the walks are an enjoyment regardless of weather because of our extensive woodlands we can take bookings for most weekends policy is no wood is shot over more than 3 times a season we can provide driven woodcock also at a differing price this estate currently lets out 16 principal days for 8-10 persons, most are let to regular annual guns. Other days are available for smaller party’s 3-5 people in lesser copses and woodland corners. Package 5

Kyle of Tongue, Sutherland, Scotland. Thousands of woodcock migrate here from Russia and Scandinavia flying from their breeding grounds, the migration coincides with the full moon in November and bird fall in, in numbers every full moon. The Highlands attract woodcock due to mild local climates great ground and woodland cover and rich food sources November, December, and January are best months in this area. We welcome parties of up to 8 guns and shooting takes place on local estates not normally available to the public. The shooting is organised and controlled by local gamekeepers. Newcomers to woodcock shooting are welcome and our keepers will give tuition if requested. This is done on either a walked up basis or a driven basis if requested costs will vary for the type of service. Expect 10-12 birds per day per party and lifted 60-70 not unusual. DBB Package with packed lunch and shooting is £ per day, minimum of 3 days per group.

Package 6

Islay, West islands, Scotland, probably the best woodcock available on its day. The area is fir groves with excellent rides giving testing shooting, flighting and driven are the speciality here and 20 per day to 4-5 guns is not unusual with 80-90 birds lifted per day professionally run and managed the hotel is located at Port Charlotte and a 3 day 4 night package of DBB is £350 pp woodcock minimum team of 4 -6 being maximum will cost £700 per gun per 3 days driven and night flighting.

Package 7

Cornwall England, awaiting further details but 3 days and 4 nights walked up or driven will be from £350 walked up, £650 for driven in excellent woodland cover, expect to shoot 10-15 per day and lifted 50-90 depends on conditions. \Hotels are varied but budget for £250 DBB in a decent hotel locally.

Package 8

North, North West Scotland, driven, over pointers, or walked up the pointers is specifically trained to work on woodcock. When a dog goes on point the woodcock will not move until the hunters are within range and when flushed provides testing shooting. We also offer flighting which lasts 15-20 minutes generally and again lots of testing shots. From our records 4-8 woodcock are shot for 30 shots average and we lift 30-50 birds on average per day. We have many ponds with thousands of duck being present 30 duck are normally shot each night and the bag includes teal, widgeon, geese, Mallard. Cost for 3 days driven or over pointers is £700 a gun for 3 days and £350 DBB as an average 4-night package.

Package 9

Sussex England walked up only from £180 per day we expect to shoot 4-8 per day and lift 30 there are other bird species available on the day as well this is over Springer’s, the cover is woodland and wetland. Cost £180 per day

Package 10

Scottish Mainland 2 hours from Glasgow we have access to 4 estates here with excellent driven woodcock or you may bring your own pointers good woodland and mixed cover with well established rides offering spectacular shooting, the lodge is beautifully appointed and the cost for 3 days shooting budget £230 to £325 and 4 nights full board For the party is £ 3000-3750. Min 4 guns maximum 8. Expected birds pinned over 3 days is 70-80 and lifted per day 100 plus.

Package 11

Isle of Uist, a six bed roomed lodge, currently being extended to offer a further seven bedrooms a weekly package dependant on time of year varies from 3,000 to 6,000 for woodcock or wildfowling for a maximum of 5 guns, the lodge costs are 2 sharing £90.00 per night single occupancy £60.00 and single room £50.00 B&B, evening meals are either bar meals or sit down in restaurant budget £25.00 per night. Expect 10-12 per day and 50-70 lifted walked up but driven can be organised for extra £25.00 per beater cost.
Package 12. Scottish mainland, walked up woodcock or over pointers, on a beautiful coastal estate. A group of 3-6 guns is the norm, we get large numbers of woodcock between November –January full moon being the best time period (3 days after) flighting can be arranged also £250 a gun per day and accommodation budget for DBB packed lunch £350 for a 4 night stay.

Package 13

Isle of Raasay is holder of the Scottish record woodcock bag of 916 birds in one season. Superb ground ideal for 4-6 guns shooting over own pointers, or driven sport the island will only be shot over 3 times between 01November and 31st January 2007, all dates as of 14th February 2006 are currently free based on a minimum of 4 guns, 4 nights and 3 days shooting includes airport transfers from either Inverness or Edinburgh as required. Transport to and from soot and full time guide 4-night single room full board accommodation. While shooting woodcock we will encounter grouse limit is 1 per day until 10.12.2006 some good snipe Duck rabbit will be encountered, Accommodation is of a high standard as is food last bag of season was 25 woodcock 2 grouse 1 snipe 1 rabbit for the last day. Pointers and Handlers available @ £125.00 per gun extra. The package per gun is £990.00 inclusive adds £125.00 for pointers per gun. Average woodcock 15-20 per day 100 lifted per day, pointers would greatly improve kill ratio, and we consider this shoot as one of the best available in Britain.

Package 14

Scottish Mainland, Ardnamurchan peninsula s/w Fort William, beautiful scenic area on the westernmost part of the mainland providing quality with consistent shooting on Loch side moor land, and woodlands. 4 guns minimum top quality 5 star Castle accommodation in former hotel/private home with ideal ground on 3 adjoining estates. There will be no more than 5 x 3 day shoots on this area between 01.November 2006 -31st January 2007. Currently available are weeks 46, 48, 50, 51 in 2006, and weeks 2,3,4,5, in 2007. It s possible to shoot over pointers (guides) or guests own dogs, and if not we provide driven woodcock also geese and duck flights with snipe and pheasant (extra nights available). Based on a minimum of 4 guns for 4 nights and 3 days shooting over own dogs cost is £1450.00 per gun and includes: - Airport transfers from Glasgow Edinburgh or Inverness, all shoot transport, guide, beaters, 4 nights single full board in castle 3 days shooting woodcock with pheasant and possibility of morning geese, evening duck, and evening woodcock flighting from forestry if required in place of wildfowl evenings/mornings. You can self cater in the castle if wished with partners at £1350 a gun. Last bag after 182 woodcock points and sights was 43 woodcock 12 pheasant 5 widgeon 1 greylag goose with 3 guns over 2 days. Expected 20-25 per day lifted 100 plus per day.
