Quail Shoot over pointers in Alicante and
Driven Quail in Catalan Spain
 Alternative:
Quail over pointers, in Alicante region of Spain, good air route to
London and back pick up from airport (we will need your flight
arrival/departure times, and I advise arriving late afternoon prior
your two day shooting break) accommodation is in the mountains in a
beautifully appointed Mountain Lodge Hotel breakfast meal is
included plus refreshments and lunch during the day time. Dinner can

Hunting
Quail hunting is available in the mountains over savannah
and scrub land, 365 days a year. The quail is a small relative of
the partridge, with its leopard print camouflage its very easy to
confuse with the land, it fly’s in to Spain from Africa in the month
of April. We supplement the wild stock with stocked bird’s which
offers 100 birds to a gun per day usually over 3 different areas or
Campo’s, the birds are fast and
 low
more like small grouse than Partridge in flight style and speed. The
pointer is an essential tool for success and this is snap shooting
of the highest calibre. A 9am start is important (to avoid the
midday sun) as we will get 3 drive’s in the morning break for lunch
and do a last drive in the afternoon finishing around 3.30pm in
between each drive refreshments to re-hydrate are important for both
dog’s and clients. This is exciting high speed birds and the need
for skilful shooting. Shotguns can be hired along with cartridges
supplied (you would pay at the end of the two days for this). Bring
UK shotgun certificate and bring your BASC or CSA insurance card
that's all you need if hiring.
 All
transport to and from the hotel lodge is provided.
75 quail minimum per gun per day and normal day is a 100 quail
per gun so some seriously busy shooting. Cost per 2 days per gun
including dogs and beaters and accommodation evening meals are
included. Cost per day including 2 nights accommodation. NIC
