Game Hunting – in Northern Zimbabwe

Shoot: The hunting concessions are all situated in Northern Zimbabwe

We have access to 5 different hunting areas that range in size from 170,000 acres to 1.5 million acres. One area is communal land, three areas are within Government owned National Parks and one is privately owned. The outfitter has solely operated these different areas from 3 to 10 years. There are no fences around 3 of the concessions. One concession has a veterinary cable fence on one boundary and one has a full perimeter fence.

TERRAIN & VEGETATION: 3 concessions have typical lowveld bush vegetation with mopane woodland and jesse. There are small hills and valleys and some sandveld. 1 concession has hardwood forests and riverine areas with small rocky hills. 1 concession is lowveld bushland with rock kopies, predominantly mopane and miombo woodland and riverine areas.

WEATHER: Clear warm to hot days with cool nights. There can be occasional rain lasting a couple of days in one of the areas.

What species on land

You may take any species of plains game for the applicable trophy fee in addition to these specific hunt combinations except on the 5-day buffalo hunt special.

Weapons required

Scope mounted rifles in the .270 to.300 calibre range are recommended. We have a range of estate rifles for your use, but you may bring your own weapons if you prefer, which is not a complicated situation. Temporary import/export permits are issued at Johannesburg International airport on arrival. Firearms must be transported in a locked hard case Certificates/licences

Travel Arrangements and Accommodation

NUMBER OF CAMPS ON CONCESSIONS
There is one main camp on each of the hunting concessions

ACCOMMODATION
The camps can comfortably accommodate a minimum of 6 guests and a maximum of 12 guests. Some of the accommodations are brick chalets with thatched roofs and there are 2-tented camps. Some camps have swimming pools. There are en suite WC and shower facilities with hot and cold running water, mosquito nets, and a full electricity supply from generators, a daily laundry and maid service.

MEALS
Full board catering service of breakfast, lunch and dinner with soft drinks

ALCOHOL
A moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages is included in safari cost

CAMP EXCLUSIVITY
It can be absolutely guaranteed that your party will have the hunting area and camp exclusively

AIRPORT TRANSFERS
3 concessions would require 8-9 hour road transfer or 1h 40min-air charter from Harare Airport. 1 concession would require a 1-hour road transfer from Victoria Falls Airport – no air charter. 1 concession would require a 1-½ hour air charter from Harare.

DURATION OF HUNT
You will get the full-booked length of hunt with no days lost for travelling.

HUNTING VEHICLE
You will be provided with a fully equipped 4x4 hunting vehicle and driver included in the safari price

TYPE OF HUNTING
The hunting is always conducted to the principles of fair chase. The game is usually spotted from a vehicle and stalked on foot. There is no shooting from the vehicle. Blinds may be used for certain species. Your Professional Hunter and tracker(s) will accompany you at all times while hunting.

NON-HUNTING ACTIVITIES
There are no specific activities except for game viewing and fishing whilst at the hunting camps. Should you wish to extend your trip there is plenty to do in Zimbabwe – various viewing excursions to Victoria Falls, Zambezi River trips like white water rafting etc.

• A valid passport required. Visa requirements should be checked with your travel.

• NON-HUNTERS: US$180/day
• CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS: No charge
