Game Hunting - in the Kalahari North Cape Region South Africa.
Shoot:
A superb shoot with lots of species to target. In an untouched region
of at Weltevreden lodge, in the ‘Green Kalahari’ region.
Hunting is conducted over 6000 acres with 15 species available
depending on demand and availability. There is also a varied range of
game birds- depending on season and availability; a qualified
professional hunter accompanies Guests. We use fully equipped Toyota
land cruisers for transport to and from the hunting area. Summer days
are long and hot and the night’s warm and depending on what time of
year but during the hunting season the days can be warm and mild and
nights often clear and cold.

Weapons
required
Scope mounted rifles in the .270 to.300 calibre range are
recommended. We have a range of estate rifles for your use, but you
may bring your own weapons if you prefer, which is not a complicated
situation. Temporary import/export permits are issued at Johannesburg
International airport on arrival. Firearms must be transported in a
locked hard case Certificates/licences (showing the firearms serial
number) and any supporting documentation will be required at departure
as well.

Travel arrangements and
Accommodation
Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester- to Johannesburg South Africa- to
Kimberley by Scheduled flight. Then by road to the lodge at
Weltevreden.
The accommodation is a comfortable, fully equipped colonial lodge
with 5 twins /double rooms, caters for every need. Although remote and
without mains electricity, it runs off solar and wind power and a
discreet generator. Most of the time lighting is provided via oil
lamps, as the stars are bright enough to read a book by. Water is
pumped directly from an aquifer under the lodge and is safe (even
delicious to drink from the tap). The hot water is plentiful through
wood burning stoves, and a laundry service is available if required. A
telephone for use in emergencies and our staff are available to help
at all times.
Cost, Duration & Requirements
- A valid passport required. Visa requirements should be checked
with your travel agent. United Kingdom passport holders do not
currently require a visa for entry into South Africa.
- Duration is 6 days hunting Friday P.M. /Saturday P.M. Depart, 6
days - Sunday A.M. return to England.
