Rough Shoot Near Knighton in Powys [1]
Shoot : Rough Shoot near Knighton in Powys. Undulating mixed
land some 23 acres of woodland rabbits, pigeons and wild pheasant.
This
land is easily accessible from the Midlands or London and has
interesting potential as a good rough shoot 266 acres there is around
20 acres of woodland and is set in undulating countryside. There are
rabbits and pigeons and wild pheasant plus two ponds. The farmer will
be prepared to assist with the planting of cover plants and feeding
the ponds to attract a head of wild duck. And there is potential to
stock the ponds as a game fishery as well

How to get there
From Ludlow take the A49 to Bromfield turning left onto the A4113,
carry on past Brampton Bryan into Knighton , Directions to the farm as
follows.

Payment
A syndicate member shall have access to all rough and wildfowling
shoots for £350 per annum, preceding renewal are £300 ongoing,
`walked up shoots incur a £13-£16 a bird shot fee and these are
organised days at 4-5 locations where we have 8-10 guns and usually
on the day 30-50 birds more if you wish to pay, these are a mix of
walked mini-driven and are part beater orientated, we utilise our
own gun dogs on the day.
