 Smaller
area very good wetland beside 4 acre lake Mallard here and in
wetland plenty of woodcock in specific areas and hare in
abundance, Grouse on mountain up from lake, lots of vermin
especially fox.
A mixed piece of land of over 1000 acres there a further
560 acres locally here with a wild fowl shoot on 4 acres of
lake, this is hill farm land inland off the A487 on the upper
banks of the River Dwyfor a well known migratory fish river.
Nearest large town being Porthmadog. There are wild pheasant
here, plenty of hare and rabbits, partridge in some areas,
good snipe, and woodcock, and some grouse on the upper
mountain stretches where the heather is, comprised of fields
with hedges and ditches rocky wooded small valleys and plenty
of wetland marsh which attract snipe, 12 acres of forested
land as well. a particularly interesting shoot with undulating
rolling land with kale and rapeseed in a number of cultivated
fields attracting partridge and pigeon, Dogs must be leaded in
fields with sheep during Lambing, April time No dogs allowed
dog may be unleaded on wetland where no sheep are. Excellent
fox shoot with 41 killed in the past month.

there.
The farm is called Rhungddwyafon as pointed out, From the
A487 find signs for Cwm Pennant go all the way up road past
first houses and church bearing left for 2.5 miles river is on
your right hand side and a nice looking one as well over the
bridge keep going till you see phone box (red) at junction
take right hand up the hill farm buildings on left turn in and
park on lower part of farm at bungalow leave ID. Now there are
4-5 locations you can drive to and these will be marked on
your map as this is a large tract of land, I will mark best
spots for whatever species.
Guide Coaching
Go on your own steam but book with us first as we have
limited guns and ensure you inform farmer park in yard and
leave note if farmer not present. The farmer is Alun Williams
a nice guy and he is obliging and helpful he shoots himself.
