Driven Shooting: Pale Shoots 1 and 2
Driven
shoot Information: The Pale shoots are close to Llandderfel Bala
N.Wales, offering excellent high birds in stunning scenery with the
opportunity of a Mallard if requested within the shoot day.
Syndicate Guns are from £2800 all compliments and 100-120 bird days
are offered at £27.50 per bird we have detailed here the drives
offered with a guide to what you could expect on a typical day with
us.
The Offered Drives
High Oaks
A fast drive with a sloping oak tree lined drive birds coming
from many directions at once. From the Barley field drive to the
left of this 1 acre park with Mallard for additional sport. The
Lodge Drive Birds coming from 200 to 300 feet
The Railway line Drive
Fast birds at tree top height which are on you sites quickly
200-300ft minimum time for a shot here.
The Ink Pot drive
A basin with a central rock structure and high trees at the end
of the drive.
Ty-ddyn-ingo Drive
This is used for small drives in general and provides good teal,
snipe Mallard and Pheasant at tree top height with duck breaking
left and right from the edge of the woodland
Pale
Gardens
Small day use only set in a designed environment around Pale hall to
the Welsh Dee plenty of Pheasant and wild mallard.
Cae Cen -Dl Drive
Bird at 700ft-1000ft severely testing bird for the discerning
shooter
Waen-Dyn-Yll wood drive
Used for small days providing Mallard, Teal, good woodcock, Pheasant
The Larches Drive
High flying pheasants over open high larch tree groups quick
reactions and accuracy are required for success.
The Pool Drive
A softwood tree drive standing in open ground 100-150 feet in height
a pool with good duck adds to the drive.
Fedw Fon-Llan Drive, Tydd-yn-barwn Drive, Half man Drive,
Moel-Heu Log Drive
A softwood drive of ferns and woodland which has been thinned
out good pheasant and top woodcock. From all these drives at good
heights.
Pool Drive
1 acre pool a steep dropping gully to the pond so very high duck
in difficult terrain.
Nant-Yr-Eithin Drive
Woodcock Pheasan, thinned out woodland for driven or walked up
days, open view shooting we have 5 top drawer woodcock drives here.
Top Ducks Drive
Extremely high duck are you up for the challenge.
Pale 2 Drives
Chasm Drives
This is a series of gully’s and chasms with a group of drives in
the location with sloping deep gorges being the norm all around
700-1000ft in a valley with extreme angles, mature woodland in a
fern lined valley in 800 acres. This is not for beginners and offers
testing birds for the expert shot.

Parties booking will be supplied with directions and
itinerary.
Keeper Profile
Lee Evans is the full time Keeper on the ground and runs
an efficient shoot breeding his own stock for putting bird to wood.
Hospitality
At the start of the day guns and their guests gather at
the designated lodge or farmhouse depending if Pale 1 or 2 for a
warm welcoming tot of Sloe Gin or coffee before choosing their peg
numbers.
Lunch is hosted in the same locations and a variety of food is
supplied at a high standard. With a roaring fire to relax beside.

Previous Bags
An average bag on the day is met with ease so if a 150
day you can expect this.
